India Social and Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi conducts COVID -19 Relief Campaign

Abu Dhabi: The India Social and Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi, Pravasi Bharathiya Samman Awardee, established in 1967 is the premier Socio-Cultural Centre in Abu Dhabi.

As we write this, we all are at a critical time, facing the challenges due to the outbreak of Pandemic COVID-19. Our prayers are there with the people and families across the world who are impacted by this. Also, our prayers and appreciation are there with the Medical Staff, security forces as well as Supply Chain Staff who are directly at the risk, to support the life and livelihood of many people across the world.

India Social and Cultural Centre, in association with Indian Islamic Centre, Kerala Social Centre, Abu Dhabi Malayali Samajam, Indian Ladies Association and Indian Social Center, Al Ain in close coordination with His Excellency the Ambassador of India Mr. Pavan Kapoor and ISC Chairman Dr.Yusuff Ali M.A extending service to our needy Indians by arranging the supply of food kits and other essentials, the opening of emergency call Centre, panel of Doctors for counseling, etc.

Considering the need of the hour, we also have visited and identified suitable premises such as hotels, camps, schools for the kind consideration of the Indian embassy.

ISC has organized its own helpdesk and a collection and distribution unit in our Centre and already started the relief work with our Committee members, volunteers, and staff. Our Patron Governor, Mr. Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of Lulu Financial Group and Twenty 14 Holdings and Mr. Somarajan, Managing Director of United Family Catering Company have sponsored the food kits.
And also we have received medicines from Ahalia Hospital. We have formed a dedicated volunteering group among ISC members in order to execute the entire process smoothly.

On behalf of The President, Managing Committee and members of ISC, I will take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Rulers of United Arab Emirates for doing their excellent humanitarian service, cooperation, and support to the people those who are affected with this pandemic situation and we salute the healthcare workers and all the forces working together for their relentless fight against COVID-19.

Finally, we thank all the media persons for their support to make awareness among the people during this pandemic situation.
