Mysuru: Since last one year, the life of photographers are in distress owing to Covid 19. There is a lack of business for photographers as there are no programmes being held.
Woman photographer Anjali has staged a protest alone in front of Gandhi’s statue in Freedom Park in pressing the government to announce special package to photographers.
Holding a poster, she demanding that the government should bring smiles on faces of people who asks other to smile. She argued that state government should include photographers in the unorganised sector and provide various benefits through labour department. She urged the government to provide labour smart card to photographers as photography has 150 years of history.
Anjali said that government should provide loans to them at rebate interest rates.
