Mysuru: A special program was held at Gandhi Square in the heart of city to empower all the physically challenged people of their rights on Wednesday, December 21.
Local Union president Muniraju flagged off the program. All the participants took an oath.
Muniraju rued over the non implementation of rights for the physically challenged even after many years after the act was brought into force. The act mentions 21 disabilities and has 14 special provisions providing equal rights and respect to all physically challenged, he clarified.
Many physically challenged members took active part in the program.
