Mysore: Congress leader Siddaramaiah expressed strong hope that Congress is likely to get majority in the assembly election held on Sunday May 5 and will form the new government.

Addressing the media persons, here on Monday May 6, Siddaramaiah said that the Congress likely to get majority as the voters are fed up of misrule of BJP led state administration, said Siddaramaiah.

When the media persons queried Siddaramaiah the reason behind JDS candidate Cheluvaraju backing off from contesting in Varuna legislative constituency, Siddaramaiah said that it’s the outcome of mutual understanding between Chulvaraju and KJP candidate.  It’s the blessing for Congress, because the voters will not trust in a candidate who backs off at the last moment.  The voters’ who wanted to cast their votes to JDS likely to vote Congress, analyzed Siddaramaiah.
