Mysuru: Seized Vehicle at Mysuru City Corporation has gone missing and Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath is upset with the lapse to register police complaint.

On April 30, corporation authorities had seized a vehicle which was found illegally putting cable wire on electric pole. Pushpalatha Jagannath had told the media that the private cable operators were told to pay Rs 20 cr to the Corporation for laying cable-underground or on electric pole, but they had told commissioner that they will pay Rs 8 crore for which the Commissioner didn’t accept. “Without paying any money to the corporation they were found putting cable on the electric pole.

Following this, corporation authority Mahesh seized the vehicle which included a four wheeler and was kept in corporation and the key was handed over to the control room. But three days ago, one of our corporators, who is also former mayor said that the seized vehicle is found missing from corporation. Though there is CCTV, the operator tells that backup of CCTV is just available for four days,” she said adding that private internet operator had also given requisition letter to corporation for release of vehicle.

The issue will be taken very seriously and stringent action will be initiated against those found guilty” added Pushpalatha.
