Bengaluru: The team investigating the attack on former minister Tanveer Sait has found a close connection between the attack and the murder of RSS activist Raju, who was hacked to death in Mysuru couple of years ago.
As per a leading Kannada new portal, Abid Pasha, the prime accused in Raju murder case is the mastermind of the attack on Sait as well. It is said that Pasha has been questioned by the police and he has revealed some crucial information, including details about 30 teams of Popular Front of India that have been active in Mysuru. Sources say that each gang of PFI has 15 members and they have set their target on politicians, religious leaders and other popular faces.
Pasha was out of jail on bail in connection to the Raju murder case. As many as five persons including Pasha have been taken into custody by the police in connection to the attack on Sait.
It is now believed that Pasha had also made some failed attempts in the past to kill Sait and he wanted to execute his plan in a place where there are large numbers of Muslims. It is also said that Sait had escaped an attack at Milad Park in Mysuru by Pasha’s men.
Farhan Pasha, the man nabbed by the police after the recent attack on Sait was trained by Abid Pasha. It may be recalled that Sait was brutally attacked by Farhan Pasha with a sharp weapon on the neck when the former minister was attending a wedding reception in Mysuru. Sait, who was rushed to a hospital is now said to be recuperating.
