Mysuru: The conflict between the two political leaders, former minister Sa Ra Mahesh and disqualified MLA AH Vishwanath is still ongoing as Mahesh has yet again challenged Vishwanath to prove his innocence.
Addressing the media, Mahesh challenged Vishwanath and said, “If you and your family are not involved in corruption, then I challenge you to stand in front of Goddess Chamundeshwari and prove your innocence. If you do so, I will undoubtedly apologize to you.”
Alleging that Vishwanath was bought-off by the BJP in “Operation Lotus”, Mahesh further said, “On October 17, stand in front of the Goddess and prove that you were bought for Rs 25 crores. Also, take an oath and say that all the other allegations made against you (except the real estate business) is all true.”
Continuing his verbal attack, he said, “I’ll reveal so as to the demand of money that you had kept forth former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy in order to stop the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government from dissolving. I challenge you to prove it.”
It can be recalled that Vishwanath had held Mahesh responsible for the drastic downfall of the JD(S) party and had questioned Mahesh on how much wealth he had accumulated. Triggered by this remark, Mahesh had called him a “Huccha” (mad) and had said that Vishwanath was the “poison” that had destroyed the JD(S) party.
