Mysuru: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has given a visit to the flood-affected areas of the district, here on Sunday, August 11 and has inspected the situation.
After having a round of inspection, speaking to the media he said, “The opposition party will lend maximum support to the current ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government in terms of flood relief operations. The rescue and relief operations have indeed posed a mammoth challenge to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa’s government and in this point in time it is not ethical to resort to blame games.”
He pressurized CM BSY-led BJP government and said, “During my tenure I had reserved Rs 8000 crores only for such situations and CM BSY is now saying that the treasury has no funds and the financial condition of the government is not upto the mark. I urge him not to indulge in such cheap politics. The Central government must also respond to the flood situation, immediately”, he added.
Meanwhile, HDK has said that he would remain in the district for two more days and analyze the situation.
