Mysuru: King Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar offered prayers to the “Shami” tree on the tenth day of Dasara (Vijaya Dashmi) at the Mysuru Palace, on Tuesday, October 8.
Leading the sacred rituals, the 27th king of the Yada Dynasty was dressed in a royal ‘sherwani’ and a high turban along with gold jewellery belonging to the royal family. Locals, as well as several tourists, thronged the palace to catch a glimpse of the proceedings.
Known as the cultural capital of the state, Mysuru city has been decked with glowing lights since the beginning of the ten-day Dasara festival which is set to conclude tonight with a grand procession.
