Mysuru Dasara: Countdown for Jamboo Savari begins

Mysuru:  The World famous Mysuru Dasara, which is being celebrated symbolically this year with strict Covid 19 SoPs will conclude today with famous Jamboo Savari.

The Jamboo Savari will table place at the Amba Vilas Palace premises around 3 pm, said sources.

However this year only 300 persons including CM BS Yediyurappa are attending this Jamboo Savari as per the directions of the technical committee formed by the state health department.

According to the authorities, the Vijaya Dashami procession rituals will start with the Nandi Dwaja puja which will be held on Balarama entrance of the Mysuru palace between 2.59 pm and 3.20 pm in Makara lagna.

CM BS Yediyurappa, scion of the Mysuru royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta and others will participate in this event.

Famous Jamboo Savari will be held between 3.40 pm and 4.15 pm. Only five elephants will participate in this year’s procession. It will be held in Kumbha lagna inside the palace premises.
