Mysuru: BJP MLA Ramdas was on Monday, February 10 midnight, rushed to Apollo Hospital after complaints of chest pain.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, February 11, Dr Srikanth Udupa of the Apollo Hospital said, “Last night at around 2.15 am, he (Ramdas) suffered a heart attack and was immediately brought to the hospital. We insisted on surgery and did a stent placement procedure. He is suffering from diabetes and from the past nearly six months, he has been suffering from a headache as well. He was availing ayurvedic treatment for both the ailments.”
Informing about the MLA’s health, Dr Srikanth said, “He will not be having any issues, but he will have to take medicines for a year as he has undergone a stent placement surgery. There is absolutely no need to worry and his supporters and close associates can be tension-free.”
Meanwhile, the doctor said that Ramdas would be discharged in another two to three days.
