Mysuru: Police have arrest three persons in connection with the mysterious death of a Mysuru-based financier, whose body was found in Tamil Nadu, a few days after he went missing. One of the arrested is reported to be the victim’s friend.
The deceased, whose body was found by the Bagalur police on September 25, has been identified as Gowthaman. After they arrived in Mysuru, the Bagalur police learnt that Gowthaman’s family members had registered a missing person’s complaint with the police.
Gowthaman, according to the police, had lent Rs 50,000 to his friend, Arjun, who did not repay the money. When the former demanded that his money be paid back with interest (a total of Rs 2.5 lakhs), a fight broke out between the two.
It is believed that, after this altercation, Arjun and two others, Manjunath and Ravikumar, conspired to kill Gowthaman. Arjun called Gowthaman one day and asked him to meet him so that he could pay back the money. The trio then allegedly took the victim to Bagalur in a car, murdered him and dumped his body.
