Mysuru: MLC H. Vishwanath said, “the government of Karnataka has miserably failed in handling the second wave of Covid 19 in the state.”

Speaking to media persons at his residence in KR Nagar, he said ” the technical committee has been recommending a complete lockdown in the state from the last two months. The spike in the Covid cases is the result of the negligence of the state government,” he alleged.

As Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has called for a complete lockdown for 14 days, he suggested the government should provide financial and other benefits to the poor and migrant workers.

“The Karnataka government must adopt the Mumbai model in tackling the second wave of Covid, he suggested.
