Mysore: Congress leader A H Vishwanath on Saturday termed the victory of BJP candidate in Mysore-Kodagu constituency as the “victory of JD(S)”, and attributed it to a secret pact between the saffron and secular parties.
At a press meet here, Vishwanath said JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda’S aim was to defeat him to beat CM Siddaramaiah at the hustings. “JD(S) leaders from the district worked openly for BJP candidate Prathap Simha, and there is nothing to hide it,” he claimed, and added that JD(S) literally fought the elections for BJP.
“In the past too, JD(S) has dubious distinction of having an understanding with BJP. Their canvassing for the BJP candidate in Mysore is the one in the series of such pacts,” he said.
