Mysuru: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to visit the flood-hit district of Mysuru on Thursday, August 22. During her visit, she will also be interacting with the officials of the Income Tax Department.
According to the authorities, Sitharaman will arrive via a special flight at the city airport at noon. She will first meet the flood-affected families and review the prevailing situation in the district, after which she will interact with prominent industrialists of the city.
She is also scheduled to hold a review meeting with the officials from the Income Tax Department’s Mysuru division.
It is said that the flood-affected families and people’s representatives will put forth a charter of demands before the Finance Minister.
