Empowerment of women is very essential: Dr Madhura Phatak

Mysuru: “Contribution of women is not only limited to their families but is also extended to the society,” said Dr Madhura Phatak, Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysuru.

Dr Madhura Phatak delivered a speech on health, on occassion of International Women’s Day, at Bank Note Paper Mill and Baba Atomic and Research Centre.

“Most of the women tend to neglect their health resulting in various complications. It is high time that women start giving more importance to their health by exercising everyday and visiting doctors regularly for health checkups,” added Madhura.

“The theme for this year’s Iternational Women’s Day is ‘Balance for better’. The theme will focus on ways in which women need to balance their work life, personal life and health. The empowerment of women is very essential and they need to take care of their health” added Dr Madhura Phatak.

Not only employees but also their family members took part in the event.
