Mysuru: Yasmeen Taj (19), a resident of Metagalli located on the city outskirts and a second year PUC (Commerce) student of a private PU college, committed suicide after an FB live post in which she is found explaining the reason for the act. “I wanted to become either a singer or an advocate. But God didn’t bless me. No one liked me. At least like my final FB live,” she said during the live stream and then consumed poison.
According to the police, she also stated in her FB live stream that she was not good at studies. “Poor health resulted in attendance shortage. I was not permitted to write the preparatory examination. God is not on my side. So I am taking the extreme step,” she said in the video.
“The incident happened on Saturday evening. When her parents came to know about her act, she was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. But she died,” police added.
