Mysuru: As a part of “Mysuru Dasara”, a musical extravaganza “Yuva Dasara” was inaugurated yesterday, October 12. On the opening musical nite, “Jai Ho” fame Vijay Prakash and team rendered various compositions on stage.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy attended the event accompanied by the District In-Charge Minister of Mysuru G T Devegowda, Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh and other representatives.
HDK had requested Vijay Prakash to sing, prominent singer C Ashwath’s superhit track, “Volitu Maadu Manasa, Nee Irode Muru Divasa.” The song has a message that as we are just visitors to this world, we have limited time, and let this time be lived doing good deeds.
This song is said to be HDK’s favourite. On his demand, Vijay Prakash sang the song. Kumaraswamy was observed getting emotional. As the song ended, he requested for once more and that was the time tears flowed out of Kumarswamy’s eyes.
It is observed that no matter whichever music programme HDK attends, he makes a point that this song is rendered. He personally requests for this song and listens to it.
