Mysuru: On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa sought the blessings of Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji at the Suturu Mutt on Tuesday, October 8.

Speaking to ANI, CM BSY said, “All the necessary arrangements have been made for the world-famous Mysuru Dasara Jumbo Savari. I wish everything goes well with the blessings of Chamundeshwari. I request the thousands of people who have come to watch this historical event enjoy the procession.”

The famous and traditional Jumbo Savari procession is an integral part of the Mysuru Dasara as it marks the end of the ten-day festival. The procession comprises a large number of elephants that have been decorated with flowers.

With tourists, including foreigners, thronging the city to witness the event, hundreds of police personnel have also been deployed across various parts of the city in order to maintain law and order at all times.
