Mysuru: After Janata Dal (Secular) senior leader and legislator G T Deve Gowda openly announced that he had voted in favour of Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi from BJP in the MLC election held on Monday, February 17, many of the Opposition leaders’ eyebrows were raised and speculations were rife. Now, parliamentarian and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has made a statement in support of GTD.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, February 18, he said, “There is no chance that I will get involved in ‘Operation Lotus’. However, the BJP party’s doors are always open for those who wish to join.”
“Just wait and watch what will happen in the future of politics,” he added.
Meanwhile, commenting on the case of the three Kashmiri students who were arrested after raising pro-Pakistan slogans, and supporting the activists of Hindu organizations who pelted stones at the accused, Nalin said that it is wrong for any individual to indulge in anti-national activities.
“The activists’ reaction towards the three students was nothing but anger towards such an act,” he said.
