Mangaluru: The Rural Health Care and Development Centre of Yenepoya Deemed to be University, Deralakatte, celebrated World TB day at the TB Hospital, Moodushedde, Vamanjoor on March 23.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr Poonam Naik, Assistant Director, Rural Health Care and Development Centre, Yenepoya Deemed to be University.
Dr Shubhashree, Community Health Department, Yenepoya Medical college, Deralakatte spoke explained the symptoms and treatment of TB. Later, a discussion was conducted with the patients.
On the occasion of the World TB Day, fruits were distributed among the 33 patients at the hospital. Divyajyoti, Social Work section, Department of Rural Health Care and Development Centre, welcomed the gathering and compeered the programme.
Staff members of the Rural health Care and Development Centre, Cynthia and Muthalib were also present.
