Mangaluru: In a terrible incident that occurred at the Kadri Kambala Junction on Friday, August 7, a young woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car.
The injured woman has been identified as Vanishri Bhat from Kedila Nivasa, Puttur. She was plying on a scooter when the incident occurred. Due to the impact, she fell off the scooter and onto the road and was pushed across the road for a short distance by the car.
Residents and police officers immediately rushed to the woman’s aid and lifted the car off her. The young woman suffered severe injuries to her head and ribs.
Mangaluru MLA U T Khadar, who was passing by at the same time, immediately rushed the woman to a nearby private hospital in his own car and got her admitted for treatment.
According to reports, Vanishri’s condition is serious and has been admitted to the ICU.
A case has been registered at the Eastern traffic Police station, Kadri in this connection.
