Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel inaugurated the second Padil railway underpass which is now open for vehicular movement. With this, a long-awaited project is completed at last.
This underpass is constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crores and it is built according to the Indian Road Congress code with regards to the raised height of the road and also RTO rules for maximum height and width of the underpass.
The work on this underpass had started in the year 2018 and it took two years to complete this. It can be noted that a huge hole had developed on one part of the approach road on this NH close to this underpass. As it was posing danger, Newskarnataka.com had published a report on this. Alerted by this, necessary repairs were undertaken before it was allowed for vehicular movement.
