Mangaluru: Suspecting irregularity in the procedure of the issuance of RTC, land conversion and property card, Tulunada Rakshana Vedike demanded a probe into the same on Monday, February 17.

Citing an example from Karangalpady, where a person’s RTC mentioned that he held three cents of land but the property card mentioned a different number, Vedike president Yogish Shetty Jeppu asked, “Where did that land go? The government officials must be involved in this irregularity to help the rich people.”

He also claimed that there might be several such instances in the city and stated that this should be probed. “If not, those who have small holdings will suffer a lot,” he said and added that the Vedike will hold a protest if the district administration does not take up any measures to conduct a probe in this regard.

Vedike members Sharada Shetty, Shawn D’Soza, Janardhana Bengre, Jyothika Jain and Azeez Ullal were present.
