Mangaluru/Udupi: After the lifting of the week-long lockdown wef July 23, a lockdown will be in force on Sundays and curfew in the night from Monday to Saturday, in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts as hitherto it was. The rest of Karnataka too, is following the same norm.
The Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Sindhu B Rupesh and Udupi G Jagadeesha confirmed that both the districts will be under night curfew followed by lockdown starting at 9 pm on Saturday.
Earlier the CM had assured the people of the state that there would be no further lockdown, but virus containment measures would continue. He asked citizens to help the state fight the rise in cases by adhering to safety guidelines.
