Mangaluru: MLA U T Khader on Saturday, May 30, alleged that the corona warriors have not received their salary for the past two months, meaning that the government has ignored their noble services.
Addressing reporters here on Saturday, May 30, Khader said, “Doctors, nurses and health workers have been rendering their selfless services since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. However, they have not been paid for two months. Even though they have been working round the clock, the government has failed to release their salaries.”
He demanded that the government release their pending salaries immediately and respect their sincere service.
Meanwhile, Khader also informed that those who are living in the border areas of Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada districts have suffered a lot since the lockdown. “Around 20 per cent of the people from the Kasargod district in Kerala had been working in the Dakshina Kannada district and the same number of people from the Dakshina Kannada district have been working in the Kasargod district. They are now jobless and struggling to lead a normal life. Hence, both the district administrations must take measures to issue passes and allow them to work,” he stressed.
