Mangaluru: An open letter, believed to be written by the Bharatiya Janata Party workers to MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has been circulating on social media soon after the polling got over on Thursday, April 18. They have warned Nalin that the situation would not be favourable for him in the next Lok Sabha election.
The letter says that Nalin did not concentrate on developmental works and also neglected the senior leaders of RSS. “We have cast our vote for you, not out of love for you but out of respect for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We would celebrate your victory on the counting day on May 23 and we will burst crackers. However, we would not like to hug or lift you with immense joy as we are deeply hurt by your rude behaviour”, the letter says.
The letter also says that Nalin had failed utterly in gaining the trust of the party workers and also senior leaders. The letter ends with a warning to Nalin that though the situation was favourable for him in the previous elections, it would not be so in the next Lok Sabha election if he does not change his attitude in the coming days.
It may be noted that there was opposition to the Nalin’s candidature by the party workers when the ticket was confirmed to him by the BJP high command.
