Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath performed Bhoomi Pooja ritual of Shaktinagar – Kuntalpady road construction under Padua West ward, Shaktinagar of Mangaluru City Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamath said, “the amount of Rs 50 lakh has been released by the Public Works Department to connect Shaktinagar main ward and Kuntalpady. 182-metre-long and 7-metre-wide concrete road construction has been planned. Drainage will be put in place on both the sides of the road, he added.
He said, “when the work is in progress, a part of it will be kept open for vehicle and public movement.” The officials and contractors have been informed to finish the work as soon as possible, Kamath informed.
