Mangaluru: A scrapped bus and a jeep were set on fire by miscreants around 5 am in the morning today on the outskirts of the city, on the highway near Jeppina Mogaru.
The Kankanady police reached the spot immediately and called the Pandeshwar fire brigade office. But when the fire brigade office did not pick up call for 45 minutes the police called the Pandeshwar police station and informed them. The fire brigade arrived at 6.20am. The passiveness of the fire officials irked the locals.
