Mangaluru: The president of SCDCC Bank M N Rajendra Kumar informed that SCDCC bank would provide Rs 4 lakh to Kambala committee to install sensor in Kambala fields, so as to obtain an accurate result.
Speaking after felicitating Kambala jockies at SCDCC Bank auditorium on Tuesday, February 25, Rajendra Kumar said, ” Kambala committee has been spending around Rs 30,000 to install sensor during each Kambala event. To reduce the burden of the Committee, we have decided to make this contribution. The sensor should be maintained by Kambala committee.”
As Kambala jockies like Srinivas Gowda of Ashwathpura and Nishanth Shetty of Bajagoli set a new record in Kambala run, they were felicitated with cash award of Rs 25,000. Four others-Anand of Irvathuru, Suresh Shetty of Hakkeri, Ravi of Aladangadi and Praveen Kotian of Panapilu were also given cash award of Rs 10,000 each.
Meanwhile, senior Kambala jockies Pajavara Bhaskar, Jayanth of Veerakamba, Jayakara Madivala of Nakre, Devendra Kotian of Palimaru, Praveen Shetty of Sanoor, Ajith Kumar of Eedu, Vijay Kumar of Kanginamane and Rajesh of Marnad were felicitated on the occasion.
Thanushri Pithrodi, who set a Guinness record in Yogasana was also felicitated at the programme.
SCDCC Bank directors Bhaskar Kotian, Sadashiv Ullal, Shashikumar Rai, Belapu Deviprasad Shetty, general manager Gopinath Bhat and others were present.
