Mangaluru: South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. and Navodhaya Self-Help Group jointly donated Rs 1,01,11,072 for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, on Wednesday during the Guruvandana program to Vishwaprasana Theertha of Pejawar Math, Nidhi Samarpan, at TV Raman Pai Hall.
After receiving Guruvandana, Pejawar Swamiji said, “The Ram Mandir at Ayodhya is a symbol of Indian culture. Lord Ram is ideal for everyone irrespective of religion. Shree Ram set an example for individuals to lead life. Each individual should follow the principles of Ram.”
On the occasion, the Chairman of SCDCC Bank Dr. M N Rajendra Kumar was honored.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel spoke on this occasion and said “There are several co-operative banks in the state and the country, but the co-operative sector of Dakshina Kannada district has set an example by donating funds for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
