Mangaluru: Sandhya from Mangalore University College has secured 9th rank in BA – English examination 2019-20 and has become the first working teacher of Dakshina Kannada to have completed her graduation successfully. A mother of two has inspired not only her juniors but everyone who wants to achieve the impossible.
The state government to improve the quality of primary education in the state had begun this course for working teachers in 2010. Having made appropriate use of the opportunity, she has been praised by the authorities and the staff of the education department as well.
Sandhya is the wife of Premnath Marne of Akashbhavan and daughter of Parvathi and Prabhakar Acharya. She has been serving as the assistant teacher at Dakshina Kannada District Panchayat Higher Primary School, Belmadhota.
