Mangaluru: Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has appreciated the efforts of Ganapathi Bhat from Sajipa village of Bantwal, who has invented a tree mobike, which makes climbing areca trees an easy task.

Sharing news agency AN’s news story, Anand Mahindra tweeted: “How Cool is this. The device not only seemms effective and does the job, but also looks elegantly designed with the minimum of weight.”
He has then tagged Rajesh Jejurikar, President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Lmts and asked him if the team can look into the concept closely and see if Mahindra can market Mr Bhat’s device as a part of Mahindra Group’s Farm Solutions portfolio.
However, speaking to newskarnataka.com, Bhat said that it is indeed a great thought, but he is not yet sure about what he wants to do.
“We have formed our own organisation and we wish to market the product to farmers through the same. As of now, nobody has contacted me from the Mahindra Group. However, I will need time to think over the offer because I am also committed to the organisation that we have locally formed to innovate farm solutions and market the products,” he said.
It is not the first time that Anand Mahindra has appreciated a Mangalorean for breaking the mould. Shilpa, an entrepreneur running a mobile canteen serving Malnad food was not only appreciated by Anand Mahindra, but she also went on to receive an additional Mahindra Bolero from the company.
