Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath said, the government has granted Rs. 3 crore for the development of the memorial of Kudmal Rangarao in order to convert it into a tourism hub.
Speaking at a function organized by BJP SC Morcha at Attavar on Wednesday June 30 MLA Kamath said, “Kudmal Rangarao has sacrificed his life for the people of the backward classes.”
“About 40 cents of land is reserved for monument development. The memorial will be developed in the near future with the Kudmul Rangarao Education Trust, the Mundala Youth Forum, and all the leaders of the Scheduled Caste Tribe. Under this project, a library and statue of Kudmul Rangarao will be established.
MLA Kamath said it would become a tourism hub in the upcoming days.
Mayor Premanand Shetty, Keshav Dharani, MCC member Shailesh Attavar, Bharat Kumar, and others were present.
