Mangaluru: As religious places have opened up to the public from Monday, June 8, Minister for Muzrai and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary visited the Kadri Manjunatha Swamy temple and offered prayers.

He also offered prayers to the idols of Mahaganapati, Durgaparameshwari, Gomukha Ganapathi and Ayyappa Swamy, at the temple on the occasion. Mayor Divakar Pandeshwar accompanied him during the visit.

Since the Central and the State governments have allowed all religious centres to open after two and a half months of lockdown, the Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara temple, Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple, Mangaladevi temple and others opened their doors to the devotees from 6 am today. Hundreds of devotees visited the temples and offered prayers.

Meanwhile, religious rituals like ‘Dhanwanthari Homa’ and ‘Sahasra Siyalabhisheka’ were held at the Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara temple for the welfare of the whole world.
