Mangaluru: Public sector banks are gearing up to launch customer outreach initiatives for providing loans to retail customers to create a mood of festivity and meet festival time needs of customers. These initiatives include providing several types of loans such as home loans, car loans, agricultural loans, MSME loans, study loans and personal loans. Customers may open Savings Accounts or BSPD accounts under these initiatives. The customer will be provided inputs on downloading the BHIM App and also information on availing various types of agricultural loans.
The outreach initiatives will be held in two phases. The first phase of the customer outreach initiatives covering 250 districts will be launched on October 24 and 25. The public sector banks of Mangaluru have come together, under the aegis of State Bank of India, to launch the programme at Bejai Church, Bejai.
This is a proactive step by the public sector banks to support the financial needs during festival times for customers by providing a platform for them to avail loans. The objective is to offer financial stability to customers.
During this period customers will be provided inputs about financial inclusion and making digital payments. They will also be offered motivation to make digital transactions.
