Mangaluru: The people of DK district are worried about the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner to effectively control the Covid-19.
On March 30, DC Dr Rajendra K.V had announced that section 144 of CRPC has been imposed on the district due to rise in cases. During this ban, public gathering for festivals, religious programs or for any events are prohibited till further notice.
In this backdrop, district incharge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has cleared the confusion of the public and allaying their fears has stated that Yakshagana, Kola, Nema rituals, and such other traditional religious ceremonies already planned can be conducted by following the covid-19 guidelines.
The ministry’s statement said that it was the public’s responsibility to wear mask mandatorily and maintain social distance.
