Mangaluru: Crowd of people was seen at milk booths and HOPCOM, in spite of the weekend lockdown that was announced by the district administration on Saturday and Sunday.
People were seen jostling with one another with absolutely no social distance at the milk booth of Urwa Store in the city, on the morning of Saturday May 8. Similar scenes were also seen at HOPCOM shops at Mannagudda.
The City Police are keeping strict vigil throughout the city to make sure that people are not roaming around without a valid reason. Most of them were given pep talk and asked to go back to their homes.
On the whole it seems police have a tough challenge on their hands to deal with the citizens in spite of repeated requests and warnings.
