Mangaluru: With media reports on complete seal down in Dakshina Kannada district making rounds, the district administration has clarified that people need not be frightened as no such rule has been slammed on the district.
Calling the reports baseless and far from truth, Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh said that the lockdown is in place and the focus of the administration is to make sure the lockdown is followed effectvely.
The DC, meanwhile has urged the media fraternity to confirm and cross-check the pieces of information they received and not base their reports on rumours and hearsay.
“Such reports will only cause fear and panic among the general public,” she said.
