Mangaluru: The district presidents of both the BJP and Congress parties have confirmed that their MP candidates will be filing their nomination papers with the district election officer on Monday, March 25.
Dakshina Kannada district BJP president and MLA, Sanjeeva Matandoor, in a press release, informed that there will be a conference of party workers at the BJP’s election office, near Bunts Hostel at around 9.30 AM. After the meeting, Nalin will proceed to the DC’s office at around 10.45 AM to file his nomination.
Meanwhile, district Congress president and MLC, Hareesh Kumar informed that their candidate, Mithun Rai will also be filing his nomination on Monday. A meeting of the party workers will be held at the Town Hall at around 10 AM, after which, Rai will file his nomination in the presence of some prominent leaders, their press release said.
The filing of nominations began on March 19 and so far, three candidates have already filed their nomination. However, no major political parties have filed their nominations so far. The last date for candidates to file their nomination is March 26.
