Mangaluru: A hi-tech oxygen-fitted ambulance dedicated to the people of Mangaluru by Friends Ballalbagh Biruver Kudla was flagged off by Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel along with Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath and Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty at Sri Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara temple on Tuesday June 1.
“Biruver Kudla led by Uday Poojary is dedicating this hi-tech ambulance worth Rs 23 lac for the service of people in Mangaluru,” said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
He added that the service will be free of cost which is appreciable. “During the first wave of the pandemic, the organization had helped the needy distributing ration kits and medicines,” he added.
The priest at the temple performed the opening rituals and MLA Vedavyasa Kamath drove the vehicle to set the good deed going.
