Bengaluru: Forecasting heavy rainfall on June 11 and 12, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada (the coastal districts of Karnataka) districts for those days.
According to the forecast, the rain is expected to intensify in the Southern part of the state from June 11 while the North Interior Karnataka expected to get heavy rain from June 12.
It may be recalled that the monsoon entered the state on June 4. However, it yet to intensify.
As of now, it is below par as the IMD’s predictive map shows.
