Mangaluru: The Mangalore Alzheimer’s Association (MAA) on Tuesday, January 26, honoured Dr Belle Monappa Hegde for being conferred with the Padma Vibushan, India’s second-highest civilian award.
Dr B M Hegde, a physician, administrator, motivational speaker, and advisor-in-chief of the MAA, was felicitated by founder-director of the MAA, Jerardin D’Souza.
Commenting on being awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, all Dr Hegde said was, ”Serve each other and love one another.”
His being chosen to receive this national award is certainly a great honour for the Dakshina Kannada district.
