Milk dairies to stop collecting milk from farmers for two days

Mangaluru: Milk Dairies in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have decided to stop collecting milk from farmers on March 29 and 30 as there is excess stock.

Due to the lockdown, there has been a sharp fall in the sale of milk in the last few days and there is an excess stock of milk.

Managing Director of DK Milk Union Dr G V Hegde, in a press release, informed that even though the collection of milk will be stopped for two days, the supply of milk and milk products will be uninterrupted. The dairies will start collecting milk from farmers from March 31, the press release added.
