Meteorological Department advises fishermen not to venture into sea for next 4 days

Mangaluru: The meteorological department of India has issued a weather warning for fishermen of coastal Karnataka. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea for the next 4 days.

Department stated that Squally wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph likely along and off Karnataka Coast. So those, who are in Sea are advised to return to the coast by the night of May 14.

Starting from May 12, Squally wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph over the southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea, and along and off Maldives area and adjoining the equatorial Indian Ocean till the night of May 15. It is likely to increase with Gale wind speed 60-70 kmph gusting to 80kmph over East-central Arabian Sea and adjoining southeast the Arabian Sea from the early morning of May 16. 

The department strictly advised the fishermen not to venture into these areas till May 15.
