Bantwal: MESCOM today removed four electric poles after disconnecting the power supply for a day. These poles had turned dangerous for the public as well as caused traffic jams at the Vitla junction.
Public, motorists including students had complained to the concerned officials. These poles had also prevented the expansion of the road. PWD had sanctioned money to MESCOM for the removal of the electric poles. But some people had objected it. Considering the circumstances, MESCOM went ahead and did the needful.
The Mescom Engineer also said that poles near schools will be removed with the protection of police.
