MCC worker ends life

Mangalore : Forty year old Yashwanth who worked for the Water Supply Division of Mangalore City Corporation and was in-charge of water supply to Kudroli and Jeppinamogaru areas, has reportedly ended his life by hanging himself in his house at Bajal on Monday June 30 night. Yashwanth was serving the MCC since 15 years.

Sources said he was  working on a temporary basis for a monthly pay of Rs 6500 and that he had not received his pay since the pat three months. It is also learnt that  his bringing the matter to the notice of the MCC officials also went futile.

The suspicion is that he ended his life  out of frustration as he could not maintain his family  without regular pay. Yashwanth has left behind his wife and 7 year old daughter. Mangalore Rural Police have registered a case.
