Mangaluru woman killed in Sri Lankan bomb blast

Mangaluru: The incident of multiple explosions in Sri Lanka killed a 58-year-old woman of Mangaluru, on Sunday, April 21.

The deceased has been identified as Razeena Khader Kukkady, wife of Abdul Khader Kukkady, a resident of Kukkady near Baikampbady.

According to the sources, Abdul Khader’s family had settled in Dubai and as Raveena’s relatives are in Sri Lanka, both Razeena and her husband had been to Sri Lanka a few days ago.

As Razeena wanted to stay in Sri Lanka few more days, Abdul Khader returned to Dubai on Sunday morning. Razeena saw off her husband Abdul Khader at the Airport, she went to Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. Meanwhile, bombs exploded at the same hotel killing her along with several other people.

Razeena basically hails from Mogral Puttur near Kasargod and was an alumnus of St Agnes College of the city.
