Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Branch of Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (SICASA) organised a walkathon on March 28 from 6.30 a.m. along with over 100 participants.
The walk started from Canara English Higher Primary School, Dongerkery and the group went through PVS Junction, Lalbagh, Ladyhill, Urwa Market, Mannagudda, Alake, New Chitra, Car Street & ending at the start point itself at Dongerkery.
Inaugurator of the Walkathon, CA. Rajesh Kumar T highlighted the significance of staying fit and said, "This activity is a great initiative of bringing together CA Members & students. Some fitness activity has to be inculcated in our daily routine to maximize our efficiency"
CA. K. Subramanya Kamath, the Chairman of the branch expressed his pleasure to organise the activity to promote the image of the profession & provide a platform for all to come together.
SICASA Chairman of the branch, CA. Gautham Pai D. on this occasion said "Adhering to the permission granted by the District Administration of not gathering more than 100 considering the COVID situation & being responsible citizens, we have ensured we abide by it & take care of everyone. Next year onwards, we shall certainly have more participation. The walkathon has emphasized on our tagline #FitBodyforFitMind, the need to stay healthy & fit. With this activity on the last Sunday of the financial year, we are all set to welcome the New Financial year from April 1st"
