Mangaluru Police seize 154 vehicles for violating lockdown

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Police seized a total of 154 vehicles from lockdown violators on Thursday, April 2.

Even though the district administration strictly instructed the public not to leave their homes after 12 pm, many were found roaming in the streets unnecessarily. Hence, the police waylaid them, seized their vehicles and filed cases against them.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha informed that doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital administrators will be allowed ply their private vehicles to and from work.

He also informed that the media fraternity will be allowed to ply their vehicles if they have valid identity cards, issued by their respective employers.
